COI tracking software pricing. The price is on this page.

No sales call. No demo required. No onboarding fee. Prices are flat, not per vendor.

Third-party estimates put myCOI near $2,000 a year to start, and you only get a real number after a sales call. CoiPatrol is $49 a month, and you can upload your first certificate the day you sign up. Live in 10 minutes, not 10 weeks.

What does it cost to track certificates by hand?

A spreadsheet is free. The time is not. Someone has to read every certificate, type in the dates, check the list each week and send the chasing emails. Missed renewals happen silently. At your workers' comp premium audit, a missing certificate for an uninsured sub can be added to your own premium. One missed certificate can cost more than a year of CoiPatrol.

Pricing questions

How much does COI tracking software cost?

Enterprise platforms like myCOI and TrustLayer are quote-only and commonly cost several hundred dollars a month. Small-business tools run roughly $29 to $99 a month. CoiPatrol is free for up to 10 subcontractors and $49 a month for up to 50.

Is Excel good enough for COI tracking?

For a handful of subs, yes: a sheet with expiry dates and conditional formatting does the job. It breaks down past a few dozen vendors because it cannot send renewal reminders, chase subs automatically, or flag coverage gaps, and missed renewals happen silently.

What counts toward my subcontractor limit?

Each active subcontractor or vendor counts once, no matter how many policies they have. Archive a sub when the job ends and they stop counting. You can bring them back later.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The Team and Business plans start with a 14-day trial with every feature. The Free plan has no time limit for up to 10 subcontractors.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The Free plan never asks for one. Paid plans ask for a card when the trial ends and you choose to stay.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Monthly plans stop at the end of the month you cancel in. You can export all your data to a spreadsheet before you go.

What if I have more than 150 subcontractors?

Email us at hello@coipatrol.com and we will talk about a larger plan. If you track 500 or more vendors, an enterprise platform may suit you better. Our honest comparison lists them.
